Ordering our fabrics
Yes. This site is designed to make Ambla available in smaller quantities for makers, upholsterers, and smaller-scale projects. Orders can be placed without a minimum quantity, up to a maximum of 100 metres per product.
There is no minimum order quantity. The maximum order is 100 metres per product.

We always aim for consistency, but as with many coated fabrics, slight variation between production batches can occur. For larger projects or phased work, we recommend ordering sufficient quantity at the outset where possible.
International orders are handled case by case. We recommend contacting us directly so we can advise on the most suitable route, whether that is through a distributor, direct supply, or customer-arranged collection. Delivery costs vary depending on destination and order size.
Delivery & returns
Your order will be supplied as a combination of 25-metre rolls and cut-to-length pieces, depending on the total quantity ordered.
Some locations, including remote areas, may incur higher delivery costs.
Orders are typically delivered within 2–3 working days. Most orders will leave the next working day, although dispatch and delivery timing may vary depending on cutting requirements, operational demand, and location. If you need your order sooner, please contact us directly and we will do our best to help.
Where possible, we try to avoid supplying material in numerous cut lengths. In some cases, full 25m rolls may include a fault tag, with an additional 0.2 linear metres per tag allowed to account for the marked section. If your project requires an uninterrupted length, please contact us before ordering and we will do our best to help.
Because each order is cut to length, Ambla ecommerce orders are non-returnable, so it is important to check your requirements carefully before ordering. If you are unsure about colour or finish, we recommend ordering a sample first.
If there is any problem with the material you have received, please contact our Quality team as soon as possible with your order details and supporting photographs where relevant.
Fabric samples
Yes. Individual swatch samples are available to help you assess colour, texture, and suitability before placing an order. If you are unsure, we recommend ordering a sample first, as ecommerce orders are non-returnable.
A physical sample is the most reliable way to judge colour and finish. Screen settings and digital photography can affect how colours appear online.

Colour and surface appearance can vary between screens, lighting conditions, and physical material. Ordering a sample before purchase is the best way to make an informed choice.
Not always. Depending on the range, colourways can present slightly differently in finish or visual depth. The product page and sample are the best reference points.

Yes. Ambla materials are tested for demanding interior applications. Our ranges are Crib 5 rated, with the exception of Lite, which is rated to ‘Cigarette & Match’. Our materials are also tested to 1,000,000 Martindale rubs. Please contact our team to request technical datasheets for full specification details.
Yes. Ambla incorporates antimicrobial additive technology within the material structure, rather than applying it only as a surface treatment. This helps protect against the growth of bacteria, mould, and mildew and is designed to remain effective even after regular cleaning. Ambla has been tested to ISO 846 and is well suited to environments where hygiene and cleanliness are important. For full technical details, please request the relevant datasheet from our sales team.
Care & cleaning
Ambla should be cleaned regularly to prevent the build-up of soiling and to help retain its appearance. Clean with a damp, soapy cloth, then rinse with clean water and dry the surface thoroughly. A soft brush with soapy water can be used for more stubborn stains. As with most materials, the sooner a stain is treated, the better.
Yes. Ambla faux-leather fabrics are designed for practical everyday use and straightforward maintenance. Regular cleaning will help maintain both appearance and performance over time.
Yes. Disinfectants may be used when diluted in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. This includes Haz-tabs and other disinfectants commonly used in hospital infection control programmes. Actichlor tablets are also suitable when used as directed. Ambla surfaces are NaDCC compatible. After cleaning or disinfecting, surfaces should always be rinsed with clean water and dried thoroughly.
